THE TRAINING

Within NEW YORKER you have the opportunity to obtain your MBO 4 diploma within 1.5 years in combination with working in one of our stores and the best thing is you can get your MBO 4 diploma free of charge!
 
What does the training brings you?
 With this training we actively work together on your future as a manager at NEW YORKER. In addition to contributing to your personal development, you also learn to take responsibility for the turnover and staff of a store.
 
You lead the employees, train them in all daily activities, ensure that they are motivated and help the customers in a service-oriented way.

 
Facts
• Diploma: Nationally recognized MBO 4 diploma Retail Manager
• Start date of the training: 01-09-2024
• Duration of training: 1.5 years
• BBL training: (Vocationally supervised Learning Path)
  • Theory: 1 day of classes per 2 to 3 weeks
  • Practice: 30 hours a week working on the floor
  • Creating assignments via e-learning
• Working an average of 4 to 6 hours per week for self-study and assignments
• Cooperation with the NCVB training institute company training
 
What does the training look like?
You only go to school one day a week every two or three weeks. The rest week you work and learn at NEW YORKER. You will follow the classes together with fellow students from all over the country who also work at NEW YORKER. A teacher provides the theory lessons and the nice thing is that you can immediately put this theory lessons back into practice, with work assignments that are made for your workplace.

WHAT WE ASK

  • Enthusiasm and desire to make your education a success!
  • Attendance at all classes.
  • Home study of an average of 4 to 6 hours per week.
  • Have access to a computer or laptop.
  • You speak Dutch, because the training is given in Dutch.
You can participate in the training with.
  • An MBO-3 diploma (for example: Sales specialist)
  • A VMBO diploma (KB, GL or TL)
  • A transition certificate from 3 to 4 HAVO or VWO
  • An equivalent diploma
  • A screening (e.g. based on relevant practical experience)
In order to get to know each other better before we start the training adventure together, we need at least 2 months of employment at NEW YORKER before the start of the training.
