Strong partners, strong support: NEW YORKER and Volkswagen Bank make their mark at the start of the playoffs

Thousands of playoff T-shirts for all fans: The Basketball Lions can look forward to a special promotion for their first home playoff game

Basketball Löwen Braunschweig will kick off the eagerly awaited playoff phase on Sunday, May 18, at 4:30 p.m. and can look forward to strong support from the region. Together with NEW YORKER and main sponsor Volkswagen Bank, fans can expect a special surprise at the first home game of the playoffs against the FIT/One Würzburg Baskets: every fan will receive an exclusive playoff T-shirt designed in collaboration with the Basketball Lions.

Oliver Roes, CFO of Volkswagen Bank, explains that the campaign is intended to create a black fan wall that transforms the arena into an impressive panorama. Fans are invited to put on the shirts before the start of the game to show their team spirit.

“Reaching the playoffs is a great success that the entire Löwen team has worked towards for months with strong performances. The great support from the fans this season has also played a big part - we want to give something back and say 'thank you' with the T-shirt campaign,” says Lisa Horstmann, Head of Marketing & Communications at NEW YORKER.
